Shuttleworth House Action Plan 2012

Following a report written by the Aegis Trust, a group of residents from the nearby block of high-rise flats, Shuttleworth House, formed the Shuttleworth House Residents Group (SHRG). With thanks to funding and support from Lincolnshire Police and the City of Lincoln Council, we were able to provide a development worker to support the Group, and prepare them to eventually become self-sufficient.

By the end of 2012, they were running the group themselves, and had tackled some of the issues within Shuttleworth House that affected them the most. The main outcome of this was the re-decoration of the building inside and out, and a new letting policy for new tenants about to move in, in addition to the completion of the comprehensive Shuttleworth House Action Plan.

These flats now look amazing, and work continues to take place in ensuring that it continues to be a safe and happy environment for residents to live, and whilst they are now completely self-sufficient as a group, the SHRG meet here within our building on a regular basis.
