A Step In The Right Direction
A coaching and mentoring project
STEPS is an intensive coaching and mentoring programme that support individuals to address the barriers preventing them from moving forward to access employment, training or education opportunities.
Using coaching and mentoring techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), STEPS gives people an opportunity to explore possibilities, make informed choices and set a realistic action plan, working at a pace to suit them. Outcomes of the project are different for every individual, but the aim is to give both practical and emotional support to enable people to achieve their goals.
STEPS works with people across Lincoln with a variety of issues including;
- JOB SEARCHES
- TRAINING
- VOLUNTEERING
- FAMILY RELATIONS
- HOUSING
- ADVOCACY
- POOR MENTAL HEALTH
- DRUG AND ALCOHOL MISUSE
- INDEPENDENCE SKILLS
- DEVELOPING NEW INTERESTS
