Better Together

A collaboration project to support adults in Lincoln with mental health conditions awarded funding by the Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund. The ‘Better Together’ project is a collaboration of three Lincoln charities: developmentplus, Abbey Access Training and Green Synergy.

The projects focus is to help people overcome barriers regain their wellbeing and move forward in their lives.

It offers participants a tailor made, supportive, flexible programme of mentoring, coaching, therapeutic activities, volunteering, and training experience.

This helps people to increase their confidence feel better able to cope with their day-to-day problems and strengthen their relationships and support networks.

Although the three charities have worked together in the past, this is the first time they have been funded collectively.

Staff running Better Together for developmentplus are Clare Bryan and Stuart Couling.
