Better Together
A collaboration project to support adults in Lincoln with mental health conditions awarded funding by the Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund. The ‘Better Together’ project is a collaboration of three Lincoln charities: developmentplus, Abbey Access Training and Green Synergy.
The projects focus is to help people overcome barriers, regain their wellbeing and move forward in their lives.
It offers participants a tailor made, supportive, flexible programme of mentoring, coaching, therapeutic activities, volunteering, and training experience.
This helps people to increase their confidence feel better able to cope with their day-to-day problems and strengthen their relationships and support networks.
Better Together also supports two, peer led support groups; an Art Group and a Wellbeing Group.
Staff running Better Together for developmentplus are Clare Bryan and Elliot Yeates.
