In episode 2 of our Podcast, Surfing the Sixes and Sevens, Ian had the pleasure of speaking to Stacey Marriott, Crisis Café Co-ordinator for ACTs Trust.  ACTs Trust, working with local people who are passionate about making a difference, has enable and nurtured many great project and initiatives within Lincoln.  Just like developmentplus they have project that are not designed to do things to or for people, but rather with people.

One of their project is The Night Light Service, which hosts ‘crisis cafes’ in different churches across Lincoln every evening, 7 days a week. The cafes are hosted by teams of trained volunteers who provide a warm welcome in a peaceful environment created to calm those who attend.

Stacey told Ian about her own journey into her current role.  As well as more details about the Night Light Cafés and some thoughts about men’s mental health in general.
