We’ve done a lot this past week! What with releasing the first teaser of winter health and wellbeing courses, the Arboretum walk in the park and the Hartsholme Family Fun Day. So lets start from the beginning…

It’s all steam ahead for the new health and wellbeing courses with the first 4 confirmed in Sincil Bank. Using new venue Bridge Central, which is aptly named in that it is very central, will offer a good space for the courses being run while supporting a local communal organisation, (seriously, you should hear what they have planned!) As for the courses, energy and time is pouring into getting them off the ground, and we hope you enjoy what’s on offer. If you don’t, then please make suggestions! We’d love to know what you’re interested in. Email us to add your ideas. We’ve gone for a range of taster courses to start the series, offering both beginner and more experienced mindfulness and herbal workshops all aimed at getting you ready for (the dreaded word!) Christmas. It’s September now, but they’re running in November, so you can let us off mentioning that one!

On another day, we joined Art Ninjas ‘Walk in the Park’ at the Arboretum, which runs Monday to Thursday every week at 10am by the way, (there’s also a more experienced group in the park at 9am; Ninja-fit). This was a nice gentle way of getting outdoors, exercising and talking to people without any worries about meeting new people, or our fitness levels! You can talk as much as you like, or listen to others till you feel comfortable. There really is no pressure.

And our other main event last week was the Hartsholme Family Fun Day. The weather held off nicely and there were lots of stalls and activities to enjoy. We were placed between face painting and Dial-a-ride, so there was plenty of variety to keep people interested. We also got nosey and had to have a wander, not a difficult feet in such a beautiful setting. Overall, the day was a great success!
